Today, in the third round of discussions with candidates for the post of President of the Republic of Lithuania, Dainius Žalimas visited the center. The candidate shared his main theses on defence and foreign policy.
Speaking about the role of the presidential institution, he emphasized the importance of openness to the public, respect, and justice.
Reviewing Lithuania’s foreign policy priorities, Žalimas emphasized that Lithuania should show leadership in the NATO and EU decision-making processes. One such area could be defense funding.
The candidate also highlighted the importance of economic diplomacy and the need to defend freedom around the world, ranging from Ukraine to Taiwan.
