On May 16th, the Eastern Europe Studies Centre, together with the Lithuanian Embassy in France and the Collège des Bernardins, hosted the discussion “UN in the Changing International Affairs Environment: A New Reality and a New Opportunity” in Paris. It featured EESC Associate Expert Justinas Mickus, Béatrice Le Fraper du Hellen, Director of the United Nations, International Organizations, Human Rights and Francophonie of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Andrejs Pildegovičs, Ambassador for Global and Multilateral Affairs and Special Envoy for Latvia’s UNSC candidacy in 2027, and August Lopez Claros, Executive Director of the Global Governance Forum.
