On May 9th we celebrated Europe Day at the Eastern Europe Studies Centre with a symbolic discussion about the EU and Ukraine relations with Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, Chair of the Parliamentary Commitee on Integration of Ukraine to the EU, and Member of the Parliament Radvile Morkūnaite – Mikulėniene.
Among the discussed topics – EU’s geopolitical decision to agreeing to enlarge, to proceed with negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova, as well as the priority ”homework” that is needed to be done for Ukraine for its accession to the EU, and lastly, the main areas that raise questions in the accession process – access to structural funds, agricultural policy and others.
